- Cleaning: Wipe floors and furniture more often than usual damp to remove the accumulated pollen dust.
- Ventilate: Proper ventilation depends on the strength of the pollen concentration. As a rule, however, the following applies: in the city rather ventilate in the morning, in the countryside in the evening.
- Washing: Do not dry your clothes and towels outside during allergy season.
- Bedroom I: Banish dust traps and flowers from your bedroom to prevent pollen from settling permanently.

- Bedroom III: Do not store clothes that you have worn outside the home in the bedroom!
- Car: Keep the windows closed when driving and check whether special pollen filters are available for their car model.
- Outdoors I: If possible, do not stay outdoors during "your pollen season" and refrain from sports activities in the fresh air. The exception is rainy days.
- Outdoors II: Check pollen warning systems (eg Foundation German Pollen Information Service) and inform yourself about the current value of the pollen concentration before you leave the house.
- Outdoors III: Mask on! Dust masks offer good protection from flying pollen.
