The eyes burn, the nose tingles.

Symptoms: How to tell if you have hay fever

After a long winter, nature finally shows its most beautiful side again: bright sunshine, tender buds and sprouting green everywhere! But just in time for the start of spring, your nose suddenly tingles, your eyes burn or irritating wheals form on your skin? Then it could be that you are affected by hay fever.

Skin rash - allergy

Common symptoms of hay fever include

  • Allergic conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the conjunctiva of the eye,
  • Allergic rhinitis, an annoying runny nose with initially clear secretions or
  • various forms of irritated skin. These include eczema (inflammation) as well as atopic dermatitis (severely dry skin) or hives (wheals).

Advanced hay fever can also be manifested by

  • cross allergies,
  • allergic asthma or in one of the worse cases by
  • anaphylactic shock

Cold symptoms such as headache, loss of appetite or fatigue are also possible. If you notice any of the listed symptoms in yourself, do not hesitate to see a doctor. With the help of an allergy test, this can provide clear conditions. Antihistamines such as Pollival® nasal spray (to the mandatory text) can be used for treatment.
