Strong against hay fever: azelastine or cromoglicic acid?

There are many ways to combat hay fever and allergies. There are differences, for example, in the form of application (spray, drops, tablets, injections, etc.), but also in the way they work. At this point we would like to explain the various active ingredients of Polli products.

In acute cases: Azelastine

The active ingredient azelastine forms the basis of Pollival® eye drops (to the mandatory text) and Pollival® nasal spray (to the mandatory text). It is mainly used for acute allergic symptoms of the eye or nose. When applied locally, azelastine efficiently blocks the effect of histamine so that allergy symptoms are alleviated. The active ingredient, which is an H1 antihistamine, also stabilises the mast cells and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Azelastine - for the fastest possible relief from symptoms!

Fewer symptoms thanks to cromoglicic acid

Cromoglicic acid is primarily used to prevent allergic diseases. The active ingredient contained in Pollicrom® eye drops (to the mandatory text) and Pollicrom® nasal spray (to the mandatory text) intervenes in the allergy mechanism at an early stage and prevents the release of histamine and other messenger substances in the long term. Applied just a few days before the first allergy symptoms appear, the development of severe symptoms is prevented. Due to its good tolerability, cromoglicic acid is ideal for local application and is regarded as the basic protection against allergies: The basic protection for allergies! Even over a longer period of time.
